Young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 years old have access to addiction treatment programs built specifically for this age group. The most beneficial rehabilitation offered to young adults is at an inpatient rehabilitation program in Ontario which offers a wider spectrum of services than outpatient facilities. Substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health disorders can be addressed at the same time in drug treatment programs for young adults which have psychologists or therapists on site to treat co-occurring disorders.
