Substance abuse facilities for Veterans are crucial for the mental health and overall stability of Veterans of all branches of the military. Because substance abuse and other mental health problems are found at higher than average rates among Veterans, it is crucial that they get the assistance they need because of such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders among our Vets.

Drug and alcohol abuse facilities for Vets in Force are available through the VA, with included services such as programs to handle associated disorders such as relationship problems, irritability, disturbed sleep, pain, depression, and/or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which most commonly trigger addiction disorders among Veterans. Involvement in outside support such as AA and other support groups is encouraged. Medications can also be available in some circumstances to help Military Veterans decrease their tobacco, alcohol, and drug use.
