Substance abuse programs for Veterans in Washington are available from the VA, with services that include measures to address associated disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, pain, disturbed sleep, irritability, and/or relationship problems which most commonly trigger addiction disorders among Vets. Rehabilitation for substance abuse and associated disorders among Military Veterans includes individual and group therapy and psychotherapies which can increase a person's desire to change. Involvement in other support such as AA and other support groups is encouraged. Medications are also available in some instances to help Military Vets decrease their tobacco, alcohol, and drug use.
