DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities - Fair Play, SC.

DWI clients in rehab need to complete specific requirements to fulfill the terms of their sentencing. Treatment programs that help fulfill these requirements and terms, which are typically more lenient than regular sentencing such as heavy fines and incarceration, are available in Fair Play to deliver DWI classes, counseling, and further assessment for severe substance abuse problems.

Education is a primary tool used at rehabs treating DWI clients. There are a few different levels of alcohol education and this can differ by state. Level I education typically include 12 hours of group education related to the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a single conviction or someone under the age of 21 will usually be required to do. Level II classes would consist of both education and therapy at a program which is approved by the courts. How long a person will be required to remain in therapy depends on various considerations, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the person has had, and the severity of the violation. Most often clients will be required to take the Level II DWI classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content level was extremely low when they were stopped and there weren't any other serious charges when the individual was arrested.
