The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid rehab programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent individuals.
