Naltrexone is an additional drug used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned here it's an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. There is an option to take this drug as a monthly injection, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents a person from experience high feelings from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse.
