Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehabilitation in Federal Way, Medicare can cover various treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of treatment.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the costs for outpatient drug and alcohol rehab. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want supplemental health insurance aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
