The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
