Alcohol and drug abuse programs for Vets are crucial for the mental health and overall stability of Vets of all branches of the armed forces. Because substance abuse and other mental health problems are found at above average rates among Veterans, it is important that Veterans get the essential help they need because of such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders among our Vets.
