The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehab facilities, which are centers who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medicine administered are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
