The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medications administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted individuals.
