The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
