The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehab programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Medications administered are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
