The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
