The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medicine administered are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
