Regular out-patient rehab is mostly a less costly alternative to more intensive outpatient centers or inpatient rehab, and is the least intense of formal drug or alcohol rehab available in Shenandoah Junction. Some clients are in treatment for the first time and have picked regular outpatient because that is all they can afford and commitment to time wise and logistically because of work, school or other obligations. For some, regular outpatient is a step down to service following treatment in a more intense outpatient program such as a partial hospitalization or in-patient program.
Regular out-patient rehab services usually offer group and individual counseling services delivered once or twice a week. Programs that include a more diverse array of services may include psychotherapies (CBT) to assist with relapse prevention and dual diagnosis services to help address co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders. The length of time a client stays involved in recovery can change from client to client, and a client's progress can be evaluated every now and then and an extension of treatment can be recommended based on these evaluations.
In many situations, a regular outpatient rehabilitation facility is going to be insufficient in intensity for someone who is attempting to address a chronic substance abuse issue and has never experienced recovery before or has fallen off the wagon after previous outpatient recovery.
