The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
