The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
