DWI Clients - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs - Wyoming, WV.

DWI clients in treatment need specific requirements met to satisfy the terms of their court sentencing. Rehab programs that help fulfill these requirements and terms, which are usually more lenient than traditional sentencing which would include heavy fines and incarceration, are offered in Wyoming to deliver DWI classes, group counseling, and further evaluation for severe substance abuse problems.

Education is a fundamental tool used at rehabs treating DWI offenders. There are various levels of alcohol education classes and this can differ by state. Level I education generally consist of 12 hours of group education related to the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a single offense or someone under the age of 21 will commonly be required to do. Level II DWI classes would include both substance abuse education and therapy in a court approved program. How long a client will be required to participate in therapy depends upon a few considerations, which can include how many DWI's the person has had, and the severity of the violation. Most often clients will be required to take the Level II DWI classes and therapy unless their blood-alcohol content level was very low when they were stopped and there were no other significant charges when the person was arrested.
