Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs - Roanoke, AL.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and require addiction rehabilitation in Roanoke, this program may pay for certain rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain kinds of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the expenses for outpatient substance abuse rehab. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want supplemental coverage apart from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
