Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need addiction rehabilitation in Calion, Medicare can pay for various treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the individual's lifetime.

Individuals who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
