Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs - Fairfield Bay, AR.

The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can choose a primary care physician and obtain referrals to health care services that offer specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can receive substance abuse treatment services in Fairfield Bay. This encompasses individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both outpatient and inpatient, but inpatient services for detoxification are restricted to no more than 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detoxification will only be authorized if it is a Tricare approved treatment center, and there are time limits as to how long military insurance carriers will be allowed to stay in rehab. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is typically accepted. In additional to this, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which occur on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished prior rehabilitation services such as outpatient or inpatient treatment.
