Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facilities - Norfork, AR.

The armed forces currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary care physician and obtain referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, members of the military can receive drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in Norfork. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other rehabilitation services. They will need pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are restricted to 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detoxification will only be authorized if it is an approved facility, and there are time restrictions as to how long military insurance carriers will be permitted to stay in treatment. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is typically permitted. In additional to this, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which take place on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished other primary rehabilitation services such as inpatient or outpatient treatment.
