DWI Clients - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs - Umpire, AR.

DWI clients in treatment need to complete specific requirements to satisfy the terms of their sentencing. Rehab programs which help satisfy these demands and conditions, which are usually more lenient than traditional sentencing such as heavy fines and incarceration, are offered in Umpire to provide DWI classes, counseling, and additional assessment for individuals with heavy substance abuse issues.

Education is a primary tool used at rehab programs treating DWI offenders. There are a few different levels of alcohol education classes which can differ by state. Level I education generally consist of 12 hours of group education about the effects and dangers of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a first offense or someone under the age of 21 will often be required to do. Level II courses would consist of both substance abuse education and group therapy in a program which is approved by the courts. The duration the client will have to remain in therapy depends upon a few factors, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the individual has had, and the severity of the violation. In most cases, clients will be sentenced to the Level II classes and therapy unless their blood-alcohol content was extremely low when they were arrested and there weren't any other serious charges when the person was arrested.
