Access to Recovery Voucher - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs - Tucson, AZ.

If a person in Tucson needs drug or alcohol rehab but doesn't have health insurance or the funds to pay for the recovery program in full, the Access to Recovery Voucher is possibly an alternative to look into. ATR is a federally-funded program which makes it possible for qualified people to access addiction treatment programs and support including inpatient, intensive outpatient, regular outpatient, continuing care, counseling, recovery and life coaching, vocational training, skills building, and transportation assistance. The ATR grant program provides those individuals with vouchers to acquire treatment and recovery support services for substance use disorders at the provider of their choice. To be eligible for ATR clients must meet certain requirements, including: 1) be at least 18 years of age, 2) have a history of substance abuse and addiction, 3) have an annual income that is below 200% of the Federal poverty level, and 4) reside in the counties or jurisdictions that provide ATR.

Individuals interested in the Access to Recovery Voucher can consult with ATR Service Coordinators in their area. If the person's original choice of program or rehab center isn't working out, they can consult with their ATR coordinator to locate one that best fits their needs and that accepts the ATR.
