The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 years of age or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to civilian health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can choose a primary doctor and get referrals to health care services that offer specialty care.
By way of TRICARE, military members can obtain drug and alcohol treatment services in Cheyenne Wells. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other rehab services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there are likely to be some restrictions.
