Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
