Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient substance abuse treatment program that is just below intensive outpatient and more intensive than regular outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also tailored to clients who need intensive treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but don't require 24 hour intervention and treatment. For someone who has completed inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Felda could help them transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free lifestyle as a "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then phase into regular out-patient treatment.
When someone is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly participate in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is similar to an inpatient program in many significant ways, including the fact that clients will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to conquer. For at least 4-6 hours on the days that individuals attend partial hospitalization day treatment, they will get one-on-one addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any needed medical care and address any of the mental health problems that are triggering their drug addiction.
