Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Miami, FL.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol rehabilitation in Miami, this program can pay for various rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the costs associated with outpatient drug and alcohol rehab. This includes outpatient services, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for individuals who want additional health insurance aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
