Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
