Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs - Columbus, GA.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people who do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol recovery services in Columbus, this program will cover certain rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the costs for outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for people who want additional health insurance apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
