Access to Recovery Voucher - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers - Ames, IA.
When someone in Ames needs drug abuse treatment but doesn't have private health insurance or the funds to pay for the rehab program in full, the Access to Recovery Voucher is an option to look into. ATR is a federally-funded program which makes it possible for qualified people to access treatment facilities and services including inpatient programs, regular outpatient, intensive outpatient, continuing care, counseling, recovery and life coaching, vocational training, skills building, and transportation assistance. The ATR grant program provides individuals with vouchers to acquire rehabilitation and recovery support services for substance use disorders at the provider of their choice. To qualify for ATR clients must meet certain requirements, including: 1) must be 18 years or older, 2) have a history of substance use or abuse, 3) have a yearly income that is less than 200% of the Federal poverty level, and 4) reside in the counties or jurisdictions that provide ATR.
Individuals interested in the Access to Recovery Voucher can contact ATR Service Coordinators in their area. If the person's initial choice of treatment or rehab center isn't working out, they can work with their ATR coordinator to locate one that best fits their needs and that accepts the ATR.
