DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs - Early, IA.

DWI clients in rehab need specific requirements met to satisfy the conditions of their court sentencing. Treatment facilities that help satisfy these demands and conditions, which are typically more lenient than regular sentencing which would include steep fines and incarceration, are available in Early to deliver alcohol education, therapy, and additional evaluation for serious alcohol or drug issues.

Education is a primary tool used at rehabs treating DWI clients. There are a few different levels of alcohol education classes and this can vary by state. Level I education normally consist of 12 hours of education related to the effects and dangers of alcohol and drugs. This is the what someone with a single conviction or someone under 21 will usually be required to do. Level II classes would include both education and group therapy in a court approved program. How long a client will be required to be in therapy depends upon certain factors, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the offender has had, and the seriousness of the violation. In most cases, clients will be required to take the Level II DWI classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content level was extremely low when they were stopped and there were no other significant charges when the individual was arrested.
