DWI Clients - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Grant, IA.

DWI clients in treatment need to complete specific requirements to satisfy the terms of their court sentencing. Treatment facilities which help satisfy these court requirements and conditions, which are typically more lenient than regular sentencing which would include large fines and jail time, are offered in Grant to deliver DWI classes, group counseling, and additional evaluation for individuals with heavy substance abuse problems.

Drug and Alcohol Education is a fundamental treatment tool used at rehab programs treating DWI clients. There are a few different levels of alcohol education which can differ by state. Level I education classes generally consist of 12 hours of group education about the effects and dangers of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what a person with a single conviction or someone under the age of 21 will usually be required to do. Level II classes would include both education and group therapy in a court approved program. How long an individual will be required to remain in therapy depends on various factors, which can include how many DWI's the individual has had, and the seriousness of the offense. In most cases, individuals will be sentenced to the Level II DWI classes and therapy unless their blood-alcohol content was very low when they were stopped and there weren't any other serious infractions when the person was arrested.
