Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs - Gravity, IA.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and require substance abuse treatment in Gravity, Medicare can cover various treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various kinds of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the person's lifetime.

People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
