Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient substance abuse treatment program that is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who need intensive treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not require 24 hour supervision and care. For a person who has completed inpatient treatment, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Moulton could help them make the transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free way of life as a "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then transition over to regular out-patient care.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they typically take part in services anywhere from 3-5 days a week. It is like an in-patient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to conquer. For at least 4-6 hours on the days that clients attend partial hospitalization day treatment, they will get one-on-one addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, receive any necessary medical care and address any of the mental health problems that trigger their alcohol and drug addiction.
