It too is taken every day, and costs around $450 /month. Naltrexone is an additional medication taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications mentioned it is an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. There is an option to take this drug as a monthly shot, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, it prevents a person from getting high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 monthly.
