Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient addiction treatment program which is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than regular out-patient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also tailored to individuals who need intensive treatment for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not need twenty-four hour supervision and treatment. For a person who has finished inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Persia could help them make the transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. Following partial hospitalization day treatment, the individual could then transition into regular outpatient treatment.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly take part in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is similar to an inpatient program in many significant ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can address the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hrs on the days that clients participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will get personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, receive any needed medical care and address any of the mental health problems that are triggering their drug and alcohol addiction.
