It too is taken every day, and costs about $450 per month. Naltrexone is an additional drug taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications aforementioned it's an opioid blocker and isn't an opiate. A person has the choice to take this drug as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents an individual from experience being high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 monthly.
