Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facilities - West Point, IA.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and require substance abuse treatment in West Point, this program will pay for certain recovery programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the individual's lifetime.

It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want supplemental coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
