Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehab in Council, this program can pay for various rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of care.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for people who want additional coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
