Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers - May, ID.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program that helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people that do have Medicare and need addiction recovery services in May, Medicare may pay for various rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different forms of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the costs for outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional intervention services.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want supplemental coverage aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
