Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
