Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program which is just below intensive out-patient and more intensive than normal outpatient rehabilitation. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help clients who require intense treatment for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but don't require twenty-four hour supervision and treatment. For a client who has finished inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Dow could help them make the transition more easily into a drug-free way of life as a viable "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the individual could then transition into regular out-patient care.
When a client is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly participate in services anywhere from 3-5 days per week. It is like an inpatient treatment program in many significant ways, including the fact that individuals will get access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can address the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to conquer. For at least four to six hrs on the days that people participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will get individual addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, receive any needed medical care and address any of the mental health symptoms that are triggering their drug addiction.
