Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers - Ohio, IL.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for medical healthcare services for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need addiction recovery services in Ohio, this program may pay for certain recovery programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, this applies to the individual's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs administered by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want supplemental health insurance in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
