Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol treatment in Prospect Heights, this program can cover certain rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of treatment.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
