The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can pick a primary care physician and get referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.
Through TRICARE, military members can receive drug and alcohol treatment services in Batesville. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other treatment services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are limited to no more than 7 days.
