Military Insurance - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers - Freetown, IN.

The armed forces currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they receive services from any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, in addition to any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can select a primary doctor and get referrals to organizations that offer specialty care.

By way of TRICARE, military members can receive substance abuse rehabilitation services in Freetown. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but stays for detoxification are limited to no more than 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detoxification will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time restrictions as to how long military members are allowed to stay in rehab. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is commonly permitted. Additionally, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which occur on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has finished other primary treatment services such as inpatient or outpatient treatment.
