Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Centers - Topeka, KS.

The armed forces currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides benefits for retired military who are 60 years of age or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to civilian health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can pick a primary doctor and get referrals to health care services that provide specialty care.

Through TRICARE, members of the military can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in Topeka. This includes detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other rehab services. They will need pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some limitations. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but inpatient services for detoxification are restricted to no more than 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detox will only be authorized if it is an approved treatment center, and there are time limits as to how long military members will be allowed to stay in treatment.
