Medicare - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs - St. Helens, KY.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need addiction rehabilitation in St. Helens, this program can cover certain recovery programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
